What is battery charger?
The battery charger is a device that has been used for charging batteries, and their shapes and sizes differ as per the requirement. Basically this charger is a device that has been used to put energy into a secondary cell, which is also known as the rechargeable battery. This process is done by forcing an electric current through it and enabling charging. The charge current depends on the technology and capacity of the battery, which is being charger. For instance, to recharge a 12 V car battery the amount of current used would vary from that of a mobile phone battery.
There are endless kinds of batter recharging devices available and in the same way there are also a variety of batteries available. These include batteries for the laptops and mobile phones, and then there are batteries for charging regular DC or AC power. Apart from these there are battery chargers that are inductive, timer based chargers, intelligent chargers, fast chargers for batteries, pulse chargers, and various other options. One can get environmental friendly solar chargers for batteries too along with other technologies. These days one can also find a battery charger for the vehicles that operate on batteries and other similar devices. There are also inductive chargers available with the option of USB ones too. The life of the battery can be prolonged if the voltage specific device is charged, and thus ensure longevity for the battery chargers too.
