Till date, we have seen several kinds of mobile phone batteries, but probably the best of them is a lithium ion battery, which is generally used in today’s mobile phones. These lithium ion batteries are the best among the batteries for cell phones due to many reasons, which have been discussed below.
A lithium ion battery is better than the older nickel-cadmium batteries. The older phones were loaded with nickel-cadmium batteries that could damage the phone when used while charging. The new lithium ion battery allows you to use your phone while charging. These lithium ion batteries are light and do not make the phone heavy. How can one forget those “brick shaped” phones, which were so heavy? Because of a lithium ion battery, today’s phones are fortunately much lighter than the old ones. These new batteries require very less space and come with lot of loaded power. Advanced devices like iPod and iphones have become only possible because of these lithium ion batteries. Even some hybrid vehicles run on lithium ion technology.
There are certain points to be kept in mind while using a lithium ion battery. Leaving your phone on vibrate mode would drain its power quickly. Operating your phone on a 3g network could also drain the power of your battery faster. Using the backlight of your screen or playing games on your phone will shorten the battery life, as the battery charge is drained faster than other people. While replacing your lithium ion batteries, make sure that you get an original battery suggested by your manufacturer.
